openPOWERLINK is a software-based solution. Depending on the requirements, it can be ported to FPGAs, MCUs, ARM or x86 processors. Linux is generally used as the operating system, preferably with a real-time extension. openPOWERLINK can also be used without an operating system or with Windows.
